CNAIC Taiwan, the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan, held the Taiwan-Japan (Kyushu) Economic and Trade Forum on Feb.9, 2023 jointly with the Japan Kyushu Semiconductor Exchange Delegation, for the purpose to promote the cooperation with Taiwan-Japan semiconductor industry and to communicate with digital talent.

Dr. Yasuura Hiroto, the Honorary Professor of Kyushu University, led the Japan Kyushu Semiconductor visiting group, including more than 20 people from Kyushu Bureau of METI, Ministry of Economic, Trade and Industry, the universities and the enterprises located in Kyushu area visited CMSC on Feb.10, 2023.

Taking advantage the time that TSMC set up a semiconductor factory in Kyushu, Kyushu intends to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation with the industry-government-university of Taiwan semiconductor. In view of the fact that CMSC had provided IC design services to Japan for a long time, therefore, except TSMC, CMSC became the only one IC design service company visited by the delegation.

 Mr. Rudy Cheng, the general manager of CMSC gave examples introduction of how to cooperate with semiconductor industry and how to integrate among supply chains. Kyushu delegation also raised questions actively. Both sides discussed many topics with enthusiasm, like semiconductor talent cultivation, deepening supply chain cooperation, the possibility of joint research and development, and how to promote Kyushu's semiconductor upstream design industry. These benefit both sides a lot in cooperation and exchange. CMSC and Kyushu delegation will link the universities and the industry to cooperate and promote the development of IC design service companies in Kyushu.
